Even today, people who have seen these colossal structures say that it is worth traveling half way across the globe to stand in front of these architectural masterpieces. These structures look somewhat simple in some pictures. But only when one stands in front of a pyramid that one begins to appreciate the ability of the ancient Egyptians who built the stupendous monuments without using the machines that engineers and architects use even while making simple houses.

Pyramids were made to remind the people of the might and power of the grand pharaohs who ruled Egypt. Pyramids house the remains of the pharaohs and other members of royal families. The ancient Egyptians believed that the souls of humans survived even after death and needed the things that they used while they were alive. So they built these structures to preserve the mummified bodies of dead people. Along with the bodies, clothes, jewels, and other items were also preserved. What is surprising is that the bodies have actually survived for centuries in the middle of a desert.

The famous Great Pyramid of Giza is said to have been built by King Khufu. Of the many Egyptian pyramids that were built over a period of a thousand years, this is the biggest. It is considered to be one of the Seven Wonders of the World and is the only wonder that survives for us today. Since it is more that 450 feet tall it towers over all other structures in the neighborhood. Experts say that 2.3 million blocks of limestone were used to build the structure. The fact that it is located in a desert enables visitors to look at the entire structure from a distance because it is too large to be completely seen when one is close to it.

Earlier people used to say that the Egyptian pyramids were built with slave labor. Recently historians have discovered tombs of the builders near the royal pyramids. The fact that the tombs are located so close to the pyramids of the kings shows that the builders were actually not slaves because slaves would not be allowed to be buried so close to the rulers. So if you want to see something that you will never forget for the rest of your life, go to Egypt to see their famous pyramids.

It is a bird of gold that will embrace you and take you on the ride of your life. But India is also a land of extremes that has been described by many as being an ‘assault on the senses’. You will experience scenes of both extreme poverty and extravagant wealth, the pungent stench of polluted waterways as well as the aromatic scents of incense and spices.

These shocking contrasts that make up this ancient land will open your eyes and expand your mind and help you to appreciate the abundance that you have in your life. You should know that a trip to India can quickly turn into a nightmare if you aren’t aware of the risks and do some very specific things to minimize them. There are some basic safeguards that any traveller should adhere to when traveling through any 3rd world country.

Keep an open mind and do your best to go with the flow. Traveling through India is intense, period. There is always something going on and you will find yourself needing to be on guard at all times. Treat it as an adventure into the great unknown and if you survive the experience you will never forget.

Asia is going to take up a large part of the earth. Its total occupancy is going to be about a quarter. It is going to also have different time zones as well. Having a good travel guide for Asia is not going to be easy. Asia just like every other place is going to have it great points and its bad ones. There are tips for finding the right places to see on your next trip.Going to Vietnam is going to be a definite place to see. The places of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City are both more modern and very interesting. There are tourists in Vietnam but not in Thai and the Philippine Nationals. There are tourists that are going to need a Visa before they are allowed in the country. For their health, Malaria is one of the things to worry about in Vietnam. It is best to take some type of mosquito repellent with you when you go.
Another great place is Indonesia. This is going to be a place that does not allow any type of drugs or weapons. You are not allowed to have radios around Bali, which is an island, and it is a great tourist spot as well. You should not take any type of objects that have Chinese writing on it because these are also not allowed there.

Thai people are found in Thailand. Many religious people there are dedicated to their monarchy. You will see pictures of them around the city and you should never make fun of them. The Thai will also think of a head as the most important part of the body. You should not touch anyone’s head when you are there. Never point at anything with your feet.

Malaysia is going to be nice and cool. You will want to find this beautiful city and all that it has to offer. You will find that there are so many great items to see here. You will want to take in the region and the all of the religion that is practiced there. There are great churches and mosques that are going to be there as well.

The Philippines have beaches to enjoy and take in all the interesting attractions. There are also malls to shop at and you will find great items cheap.

Every place is going to have its own money and you will need to figure out what you are going to use there. You need to make sure that you have your money changed at a local financial institution. There are hotels that sometimes offer money changing but it is going to be at a lower rate.

Be aware of the people that want to pick your pockets. You will need to be very suspicious of people and all of your valuables. Keep your money separate from your credit cards and have hide a set somewhere so that you will have a backup if you are taken advantage of.
